Last week I participated with Sitecore at the Gartner Portals, Content & Collaboration Summit in Los Angeles. While enjoying a chop salad for lunch in the LA Market restaurant -- I noticed some people taking pictures with the Chef.
My first thought was, "yeah the food is good and it's cool that some members of the Gartner team are posing with the Chef." But something else was happening and my intuition took over. In fact, it was Chef Nona, winner of Hell's Kitchen from last season.
I'm not really into Reality TV but admit I have watched and enjoyed a few episodes of Hell's Kitchen. The show's creativity, emotion, intensity (adult language aside) and pace can be entertaining and informative.
After lunch, I decided to say hello to Chef Nona and asked her if she would be willing to have a brief conversation on camera for the creatorbase community. She graciously agreed and shared some of her thoughts about Hell's Kitchen, Chef Gordon Ramsay, passion, and how to navigate around career related challenges. Chef Nona also provided some advice for other creators, regardless of their field of work or dreams.
What do you think about her perspective in our conversation above? Oh, I went back to LA Market for lunch the next day and recommend the meatloaf, mashed potato and peas. Good comfort food and conversations always hit the spot.
